After a loooong drive from L.A. to St. George, we were ready for a few days of relaxation. It felt great to kick back and watch the kids swim and play with their cousins. We spent time at the pool, at splash parks downtown, and at grandma and grandpa's house. Rob and I were also able to sneak out for a little shopping together. Hurray for family!
Swimming at Uncle Roger & Aunt Bonnie's neighborhood pool.
These kids could swim all day, every day.
Cousin Maren goes for a ride.
Cousins Haley and Natalie.
We re-started the family tradition of playing 4-square. Most of the kids were pretty good sports, and some of the adults too. Ha!
Maren & Alex with Pop-Its.
Jake shows off his kung-fu moves.
Cousins Maren, Alex, Haley, Natalie, James, Chase, Isaac, and Jake.
We lit off fireworks for the 24th of July celebration.
Sparklers were the most our kids would get close to.
I was lucky to get to go for lots of runs while in St. George (Hurray for vacation schedules!). As long as I went early to beat the heat I was coherent enough to enjoy the stunning scenery.
Our last night in St. George we got to have a Girl's Night Out with Grandma, Katie, Anna and Natalie to see Hairspray at Tuacahn outdoor amphitheater. It was Haley's first musical and she LOVED it. Since Rob is, uh, not in love with musicals, I'm thrilled to have a theater buddy! I can't wait until our next one.
We went to the theater one day to see Brave, and Batman was there. Jake was prepared to fight evil with him!
