While
in Seattle we were invited by one of Rob's UW professors to go sailing
on Lake Washington. The weather was perfect. The setting was
stunning. The boat was beautiful. Peter and Trish and their dog, Zippy, were so kind and welcoming. It was the first time any of the
kids had been sailing - and what an introduction to it! I was in
heaven. I tried to convince the family that we should all quit our jobs
and schooling to sail around the world for a year, but I was
unsuccessful. Oh well, at least we got to enjoy one
perfect afternoon.
Mt. Rainier & the Evergreen Point floating bridge.
Haley at the helm.
I feel happy just remembering this...bobbing in the waves, kids snuggled next to me, sun on our heads, sparkling waves, and the Seattle skyline in the distance.
Haley helps with the ropes.
Something got stuck so Rob was the lucky one who got to ride up and fix it.
Coming in to dock.
Playing with Zippy on the lawn - he loved gnawing on Jake's flip-flops.
The kids with Peter and Zippy - THANK YOU!
