Ten Things We're Thankful For In 2010

1. Family, near and far. We love you and think of you often, and wish we got to see you LOTS more than we do.
2. Good friends, that we count as family up here on the prairie.
3. A steady job, and the peace of mind that comes with it.
4. A warm home - especially as the temperatures continue to drop.
5. Health - we get our share of germs, but are grateful for our relative good health.
6. The beauty of the prairie - in all seasons.
7. Balls, garbage cans, trucks, and "Mama." (Alex)
8. Transformers, Legos, pre-school, and Wii. (Jake)
9. American Girl, friends, crafts, and books. (Haley)
10. Our faith, and the comfort, joy, and peace that it gives us.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Get your spatulas ready, boys! Jake is ready to help Mom with the pie-baking.

Some cute in-the-kitchen-with-mom photos...

...still cute....

...and then the silliness sets in.

Even Alex makes a funny face.

Oreo turkeys, a tradition in Mom's house growing up. Who wouldn't want Oreos and candy right after feasting on turkey and all the trimmings, right?!?!

Haley made hand-crafted, personalized place cards for everyone.

First Snow

While some members of our family were only minimally excited about the onset of cold and snowy weather, others were very much looking forward to it. The first snow was relatively late this year and the kids were very ready to get out the sleds and play. Here's to another winter!

Jake's gettin' all fierce and Transformer-like with the snow.

Sorry, peanut. You've been sick and we don't have a snowsuit for you yet.
