Happy Fourth!

We were happy to be home for the 4th of July this year and be able to participate in our town's festivities.  A big storm cleared just in time for the Children's Parade to start at noon - the kids were decked out in their red, white, and blue and the parade ended in town square to kick off the day's celebration.  We enjoyed the playground and free bounce houses before heading home for lunch and nap time.

 Ready to start!

I bet Haley $5 that at least 20 people would tell her, "Cute hat!"  I lost....

The kids enjoyed their Pop-Its while waiting for our BBQ guests to arrive.  It was fun to host a big holiday gathering - ya'll are invited next year!

Haley and Jake made festive parking spots.

We finished the night by heading downtown to watch the fireworks.  We stumbled upon Haley's BFF from school and joined them for the show.  It's the first time in 9 years that we haven't had a stroller/sleeping baby/scared toddler during the fireworks - talk about Independence Day!
Happy Fourth!
