Early Autumn Fun - Cuties, Crazy Hair Day, & Choir

I love early autumn - the anticipation of the coming holidays, the predictable schedule of school days, and the chance to slow down once in a while and just enjoy hanging out with the kids.  Some moments from our last few weeks:

Alex fell asleep on the couch - what an angel.

We were drawing pictures to send to Grandma & took pictures to go with them.  These are their "Hi Grandma!" shots.

Wacky Hair Day at school is taken seriously in our house.  Color, texture, height - all are taken into consideration.  You can't see it in Haley's, but she had lots of crazy colors in hers too.

Last Spring Haley auditioned for and made it into the Grand Cities Children's Choir (GCCC).  She was so excited to start rehearsals this fall and perform.  Above she is ready for their first performance, a memorial service for a previous GCCC member.  When they began a rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" I couldn't hold back my tears - both because of the service and because of the joy of seeing her up there doing something she loves.  She gets embarrassed when I try to tell her how wonderful it was, so I'll just post it here for all the world to see.  :)
