Spring Catch-up

EASTER CUTIES

I love that Haley loves to dress up. She can be such a girly girl - hence the pink gingham silk dress and Easter bonnet. Rob said Jake looks like a little old man, and I'll admit the sweater vest has that kind of vibe. This was a momentous Easter for Haley - we told her the truth about the Easter bunny. It seemed too strange having just come from church, and she's also too smart for it. I think she was envisioning the enormous one posing for pictures at the Fargo mall (seriously? pictures with the Easter bunny?!?) and it sparked all kinds of confusion and fear. Time to put that myth to rest!

HALEY TURNS 4

Way past toddling. Fully potty-trained. Tantrums are few and far between. It's official - Haley is a Big Girl! Haley turned FOUR amidst a plethora of pink wrapping paper. She had requested a Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake, so we went with the theme all the way. She said she still preferred that it be "just family", so we celebrated on our own with balloons, cake, and a spoiled-as-a-princess amount of presents.

A kiss for Daddy from the birthday girl. Can we say "Super Sweet 16" in twelve years?

Jake helps unwrap what will become of favorite toy for both of them. What four-year-old girl wouldn't want a bright pink Barbie Electric guitar?

THE JOY OF TOILET PAPER
Jake is thoroughly in the middle of the mess-maker phase. He loves exploring cause-and-effect, and has a fascination with all things messy/fuzzy/loud/big/small/tasty/colorful. These are two of my favorite pictures that SO evoke what my days are like with this lovable, curious boy.
