Over the long weekend, the kids and I headed out to nearby Turtle River
State Park to go for a hike. The weather was perfect, it wasn't
crowded, and the kids turned out to be very good hikers.
Jake was all about the sticks. He found so many he couldn't carry them all. And he didn't understand why I refused to carry them all for him.
Have I mentioned that September is my favorite time of the year here?
We were having so much fun that they insisted on taking the long way back to the car. Alex was worn out and fell asleep in my arms with about half and hour's walk to go...we'll be back to hike again soon - with a baby carrier.
