The Nutcracker: Russian Ballet Company

This week Haley had the opportunity to perform onstage with the Russian Ballet Company for their performance of The Nutcracker in our town.  She auditioned and has been practicing for months for her part as a French dancer.  This once-clingy toddler has blossomed into a fearless performer - she said she wasn't nervous at all, just excited.

I dropped her off backstage with her hair and make-up ready to go and a back-pack full of snacks and books; the dancers all remain backstage before and after their performances.  Part of me wished she got to watch with us, but I know how much she'd been looking forward to doing this.

It was wonderful that Grandma and Grandpa were in town with us and got to watch as well.  She had a great time and hopes to be able to perform in it every year.  We're so proud of you our lovely little ballerina!
